Leaf Unveils Women of Sport Trading Card Collection

Leaf Trading Cards has taken a monumental step by introducing the groundbreaking 2024 Leaf Metal Women of Sport collection, a tribute to the remarkable female athletes who have left a lasting impact on the sporting world. From celebrated legends to rising stars, this collection is a nod to the past, present, and future of women in sports.

The collection boasts a diverse range of autograph sets, including Herstory, She Got Game, Starstruck, Dazzlers, Unbreakable Duals, and Anime Nation. Featuring iconic athletes like Mia Hamm, Alex Morgan, Cheryl Miller, Lisa Leslie, Jennie Finch, and Doris Burke, alongside emerging stars such as Livvy Dunne from LSU, Paige Bueckers from UConn, Maya Brady from UCLA, and Makenzie Steele from Clemson, these trading cards showcase the evolution of women’s influence in sports.

Leaf’s Director of Marketing and Licensing, CJ Breen, expressed his excitement for this project, emphasizing the importance of recognizing and celebrating female athletes in the trading card industry. The collection aims to shine a spotlight on athletes who have often been overlooked, bringing them the recognition they deserve.

One standout inclusion in the collection is Duke freshman Toby Fournier, known for her impressive dunking skills showcased in viral social media videos. Fournier’s exclusive deal with Leaf marks a significant moment, making her the sole incoming freshman women’s basketball player to have such an arrangement.

Beyond individual cards, the collection features unique combinations of stars, including groupings of soccer legends like Hamm, Morgan, Smith, and Brandi Chastain. Additionally, there are dynamic duo cards showcasing the collaborative efforts of athletes such as Cameron Brink and Paige Bueckers. Bueckers herself is also featured in a special animated card paying tribute to her All-American status at UConn.

CJ Breen hopes that this collection not only elevates the presence of female athletes in the trading card community but also fosters a sense of inclusivity and fun for all collectors. By showcasing the talent and achievements of women in sports, Leaf Trading Cards aims to encourage a wider audience to engage with the hobby and bridge the gap between sports enthusiasts and collectors.

Leaf Trading Cards continues to lead the charge in celebrating the accomplishments of female athletes, pushing boundaries, and creating connections between the sports world and the card collecting community. With the 2024 Women of Sport collection, Leaf is not only honoring the legacy of renowned athletes but also paving the way for a new era of appreciation and recognition in the trading card industry.
